The project, its pattern and the fabrics to make it.

A complete quilt of scrappy half-square triangles set in 2 x 2 groups so bold diamonds repeat across it, quilted in straight lines and bound in a solid. Choose how many 6 in units across and down: baby to queen.
Print at 100% (Actual Size), then measure the pattern’s print-check square.
Each triangle unit finishes at 6 inches square. Four units form one 12-inch diamond block. The example throw has 10 units across and 12 down, making a 60 × 72-inch quilt: five diamond blocks across and six down, 30 blocks altogether.

Stable, easy to cut, press and piece accurately.

Tightly woven cloth for crisp patchwork.

Useful for foundations, backing and practice pieces.
Check shrinkage and colorfastness across the fabrics you combine. The quilt top, backing, batting and binding are separate components.
These quantities are for the 60 × 72 in example. Follow the pattern’s calculations for a different size.
