Before you start
- A quilt for supervised, awake time (tummy time, play, the stroller) or for display. Quilts and loose bedding do not belong in an infant sleep space (AAP safe-sleep guidance).
- No buttons, beads, ribbons, ties or embellishments; sew with cotton or polyester thread, never monofilament, and secure every thread end. Keep pins, small scraps and loose threads away from the baby while you work.
- Use only batting labeled washable and low-loft; no weighting.
